From the campaign trail and the Oval Office to the cutting edge of digital activism and engagement, Anne Lewis has helped organizations effectively leverage digital to message their issues, including briefing the entire Senate Democratic caucus and top staff on how to use social media to amplify their message. Since launching Anne Lewis Strategies in 2007, she’s helped clients from across the progressive and nonprofit spectrums raise more than $300 million.
She’s played a lead strategic role in solving every conceivable riddle, building programs from the ground up, helping organizations right the ship and taking mature digital operations to new heights. She’s done it for major Democratic Party committees; internationally recognized nonprofits, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Conservation International and the USO; and private-sector organizations like The Washington Post.
Prior to starting Anne Lewis Strategies, Anne served as a special assistant to the president on the National Economic Council staff at the Clinton White House and was twice confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate (under both Republican and Democratic majorities) as an assistant secretary of labor. She was chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) and a legislative director for U.S. Sen. Harris Wofford (D-PA).
Anne graduated magna cum laude from Smith College and holds a MPP from Harvard Kennedy School.
