Terry Lee joins Five Corners Strategies after almost two decades as a national, state and local grassroots communications and community outreach campaign strategist, specializing in developing strategies and managing campaigns that win political and community support for controversial land use and public affairs projects.
Terry has been directly involved in several of the largest and most contentious District of Columbia infrastructure projects, including the Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium development and the First Street Tunnel sewerage system renovation. He managed the public affairs and crisis communications for Toyota Motors NA during congressional hearings probing a series of sudden acceleration in Toyota vehicles. He also directed the efforts to successfully gain political and community support for the entrance of Walmart stores into the District of Columbia.
Terry serves as Director and provides strategic and corporate communications services to the firm’s corporate, government and nonprofit clients. Prior to joining Five Corners Strategies, Terry served in a variety of senior level communications and public affairs positions, developing and managing national strategic communications and public affairs programs for a variety of clients. He has several years of direct government/public service experience, having served in senior communications and media relations positions at the federal, state and municipal levels, including the Clinton White House and the Office of the Mayor for the District of Columbia.
Terry is a native of New York City and is a long-suffering Jets, Knicks and (not so suffering) Yankees fan. He resides in Chevy Chase, DC with his wife and 2 children.
